Affordable Publication Fees
ATA Press is dedicated to open access publishing, providing free and immediate online access to academic research worldwide. Our commitment to open access means that all of our journals are open to the public, allowing anyone, anywhere, to read, distribute, and reuse the research we publish. To sustain this open access model, we implement Article Processing Charges (APCs) upon the acceptance of articles.
To ensure equitable access to our publishing services, ATA Press maintains a transparent waiver policy to accommodate researchers who are unable to meet some or all of the publication fees.

Article Processing Charges (APCs) are fees associated with the publication of research articles in open access journals like ours. These charges are essential to support the publication process and maintain open access, allowing anyone to freely access, read, and utilize research findings.
What Do APCs Cover?
APCs cover various critical aspects of the publication process, including:
Article Processing: This involves the transformation of a submitted manuscript into a professionally formatted and polished article ready for publication in multiple formats.
Hosting and Distribution: APCs contribute to the costs of hosting, indexing and distributing published articles online, ensuring that publications reach the global audience.
Promotion: Funds from APCs are allocated to promoting published articles, enhancing their visibility and impact within the scientific community.
Behind the scenes, a dedicated team at ATA Press collaborates to ensure the seamless publication of your research:
Desk Review Team: This team conducts initial technical and ethical checks on submitted manuscripts.
Editorial Support: They assist journal editors in managing the peer review process, ensuring rigorous evaluation.
Production Team: Responsible for converting manuscripts into professionally typeset articles, and digital formats with structured XML formatting.
Editorial Quality Assurance: Conducts proofing and final checks to ensure adherence to journal guidelines and policies.
Management and Development Team: Supports authors, editors, and reviewers while striving to maximize journal indexing and article visibility.
Technical Team: This team maintain the online journal system for a seamless publishing experience for authors, reviewers, editors, and readers.
Our APCs
At ATA Press, our APC rates vary depending on the specific journal in which your article is published. We are dedicated to providing transparent pricing, and the APC for each journal is provided on its homepage. This transparency ensures that authors can make informed decisions about their publication options.

Waivers
At ATA Press, we understand that financial constraints can be a barrier for researchers. That’s why we are committed to providing waivers to assist African researchers:
50% Waivers for Authors from West African Countries: We automatically provide a 50% waiver on APCs for authors from West African and Central African countries, making open access publishing more affordable. Authors do not need to make an application for this waiver as it will be automatically applied by our accounts team when issuing you an invoice.
Up to 100% Waivers for Researchers in War Regions and Disaster-Affected Areas: In regions affected by war or natural disasters, we offer waivers of up to 100% to ensure that researchers in these challenging environments can continue their vital work. Please contact ATA Press editorial to make an application for APC waivers.
